Discussants: Hon. Vicki Bourne, Hon. Tempa Tsering
Hon. Vickie Bourne: It is important to reiterate that our argument is not directed against the Chinese people but their government. I would like to close this Convention with hopes for the next conference to be held in Tibet.
Hon. Tempa Tsering: I would like to thank everyone concerned for this successful Convention. The success is due to His Holiness' presence and the hard work of the delegates. Tibetan Buddhists look to Buddha, the Sangha and the Dharma, but in politics they have found a fourth refuge, the international support community. I would like to thank all those supporting the Tibetan struggle. Tibetans very much depend on that support for successful resolution of their struggle. I would to thank the President of the United States and the people of the United Sates for their support.
I am pleased to announce that the Honourable Hans-Pavia Rosing, Member of Parliament from Denmark, has offered to explore the possibility the next World Parliamentarians Convention on Tibet in Denmark.
Finally on behalf of all the delegates I would like to thank the International Campaign for Tibet and the many volunteers who made this convention possible.
The session ended with Kalon T.C. Tethong offering a ceremonial along with a small Tibetan national flag to each delegate.
