Tulku Ugyen Topgyal Ven. Trulku Ogyen Tobgyal (born 1951, Nangchen, Tibet) now lives in Bir, Himachal Pradesh, India. Since the age of 18, he took the overall responsibility of Pema Ae-wam Choegar Tenchok Gyurmey Ling Monastery in Bir. He has been preaching Buddhism in 23 countries and has renovated three monasteries in Tibet. He served as the Vice President of the Association of Ngagyur Gyalyong Monlam Chenpo for a year. He served the Bir Local Assembly as its President for two years. He has also acted in the much-acclaimed movie ‘The Cup’. He served as a member of ATPD from 1994 to 1996 and was reelected to the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Parliament in exile.

Juchen Kunchok Choedon

Juchen Kunchok Choedon(born 1972) now lives in Dharamsala. She finished school from CST Mussoorie. She has been staying at home since then serving the parents. She was elected to the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Parliament in exile.

Serta Tsultrim

Serta Tsultrim

Mr. Serta Tsultrim Toktsa-Tsang (born in 1974 at Serta, Eastern Tibet) now lives in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, India. He has done high-level education at Serta Centre for Higher Tibetan Buddhist Studies in Kham region of Tibet. He reached India in 1998.  He worked in Religious Department of CTA in 1999 and from 2000 to early 2003; he has been employed as an editor and researcher for Tibetan culture and education in the Cultural and Literary Research Centre of Norbulingka Institute. Since the inception of the Centre in April 2003 till date, he has been the executive director of Khawa Karpo Tibet Culture Centre and the chief editor of the weekly Tibetan newspaper ‘The Tibet Express’ (bod-kyi-bang-chen). He has been elected to the fifth local Tibetan Assembly of Dharamsala in 2004. He is also the coordinator of the Association of Tibetan Journalists (ATJ). He has been elected to the 14th TPIE.

Sonam Topgyal

Sonam Topgyal (born 1948 in Kham Markham, Tibet) now lives in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, India. He has educated himself specifically in Tibetan linguistics and grammar. On coming to exile, he worked at the Reception Centre for a year. He was elected to the Eleventh, Twelfth Thirteenth and Fourteenth Parliament in exile and was a member of the Standing Committee of the previous two terms and continues to be one.

 

 

 

 

 

Dewatsang Dorjee Wangdue

Mr.Dorjee Wangdi Dewatsang went to Saint Augustine School in Kalimpong. Did his Pre Engineering at Government College for men in Chandigarh and thereafter got his B.Arch Degree from Chandigarh College of Architecture, Chandigarh Trained at 'Alan Carre Design Etudes' Paris in France. Later moved back to India and started private practice in New Delhi.

 

As an Architect he has been involved in a number of Projects all over India. He worked in rebuilding of the BAYAN PALACE in Kuwait. He has authored a book titled 'FLIGHT AT THE CUCKOO's BEHEST' an autobiography of his father late Kunga Samten Dewatshang. Beside his Architectural practice he takes a keen interest in the Tibetan affairs and has worked closely with Sister Tinlay Choedon Dewatsang on a number of Social and Educational projects for the Tibetan Community in various settlements. He is presently based at New Delhi and runs the following firms:-

  • Paljor Publications (P) Ltd.
  • And Consultants (P) Ltd.
  • Kiri Exports (P) Ltd.

He also chairs the Tibetan Chamber of Commerce.. He was elected to the 14th Tibetan Parliament in Exile in 2006.

Youdon Aukatsang

Mrs. Youdon Aukatsang works as the Executive Director for Empowering the Vision Project [ENVISION], an NGO working to support, motivate and empower young Tibetans to take their place in the community with dynamism, specialised skills, good careers and entrepreneurship.  Prior to that, she worked as an Independent Consultant for Kreddha International, an organization based in The Hague, The Netherlands, dedicated to prevention and resolution of intra-state conflicts.

From 2000-2003, she was appointed the Senior Program Officer of the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD), the only Tibetan Human Rights NGO with the dual objective of monitoring human rights situation inside Tibet and educating the Tibetan exiles in concepts and principles of human rights and democracy. She is currently serving on the Board of TCHRD.

Mrs. Aukatsang was elected as an Executive Member of the Tibetan Women’s Association (CENTREX), an NGO committed to improving the status of Tibetan women both in and outside Tibet. She has also worked as the Research Associate of the organization from 1994-96. Mrs Aukatsang is a recipient of Fulbright scholarship and has completed her masters in International Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University, MA(USA). She also has a master of arts in International politics from Jawarharlal Nehru University, New Delhi India. She completed her bachelor's from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She was elected to the 14th Tibetan Parliament in Exile in 2006.

 Choekong Wangchuk

Choekyong Wangchuk currently resides in New Delhi. He holds a Bachelors degree in Arts from Punjab University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Sales Management from the Bhartiya Vidhya Bhavan. During his college days he served as the President of the Overseas Student’s Association (GCM, Chd), 1992-1993 President, Regional Tibetan Youth Congress Chandigarh. Later on he served the TYC for six years in various capacities such as became the Secretary Int’l Relations (1995-1998), Joint Secretary (1998-2000),General Secretary and Editor of English Rangzen, TYC quarterly magazine. (2000-2001). In 2002 he joined the India - Tibet Coordination Office (ITCO) as its Deputy Coordinator, and in 2003 he bacame the Coordinator India - Tibet Coordination Office (ITCO). In 2006, he was elected to the 14th Parliament in Exile.

Tsultrim Tenzin (born 1939, in Kham Karze, Tibet) now lives in Bir, Dege Division, Tibetan Colony, Himachal Pradesh, India. He graduated in Tibetan studies in Tibet. After arriving in India in 1959, he studied English, Hindi and received basic modern education. He has served the Tibetan Government in-exile for 32 years in various capacities such as Schoolteacher, School Principal, Settlement Officer, Rehabilitation Officer, Field Auditor In-charge and Field Director, Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute. He was elected to the Twelfth, Thirteenth and Fourteenth Parliament in exile.
