Mr Michael Zantovsky, former Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Parliament. Contacts remained till his Senator's tenure ended in 2002. He along with the President and Vice-President of the Senate of the Czech Parliament received His Holiness at the Senate Building in Prague in 2002.

After him, contact was established with Mr Jan Ruml, Vice-President of the Senate of the Czech Parliament. He is a respected Senator who apprised His Holiness in 2002 that Czech Republic will be happy to host the International Tibet Support Groups Conference.

Fortunately, 4th International Tibet Suport Groups Conference was successfully held in Prague under the patronage of the Senate President H.E Petr Pithart and Vice-President H.E. Jan Ruml.
