All Party Parliamentary Group for Tibet
The group was founded in December 2001 and consists of members from all the political parties. They initiate and pass one motion on Tibet in the parliament each year and their members also occasionally raise the issue of Tibet when the parliament is in session.
Mr. Kent Olsson, MP, is the first and current chairman of the Swedish All Party Parliamentary Group for Tibet.
A delegation of the Swedish All Party Parliamentary Group for Tibet led by him visited Dharamsala in 2002 to have a first-hand experience of the workings of the exile Tibetan setup. On 3 June 2003 the group was able to host His Holiness' address on Tibet to Swedish parliamentarians and invited guests in the parliament.
